Megan Thee Stallion is expanding her on-screen résumé with a guest-starring role in NBC’s upcoming sitcom The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, where she will appear alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Tracy Morgan.
The comedy centers on a disgraced former NFL star attempting to rebuild his public image with the help of a documentary filmmaker. Radcliffe and Morgan lead the cast, which also includes Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall. Megan’s appearance adds another high-profile name to the ensemble as NBC prepares to roll out the series later this month.
The rapper and actress promoted the show on Wednesday by sharing a photo of herself with Radcliffe on Instagram, sparking an enthusiastic reaction from fans. One commenter joked, “Harry Potter and the order of the hottie !?” while another wrote, “AINT NO WAY MY WORLDS COLLIDING LIKE THIS.”
Some fans also reflected on Radcliffe’s post-Harry Potter career choices. “I love how Daniel Radcliffe just be doing whatever he wants,” one user commented, echoing sentiments previously expressed by the show’s creators.
Series creator Robert Carlock discussed Radcliffe’s casting in an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, noting the actor’s willingness to take unexpected roles. “He’s made some wonderfully weird choices in his post-Potter career, and I’d like to think this is one of them, doing a sitcom,” Carlock said. “But he’s a busy guy. He’s a national treasure. We just didn’t know if he’d be available, but he loved it and stars aligned.”
Tracy Morgan also praised the dynamic between the cast members. “That day I found out Daniel Radcliffe was going to be on my show, I knew we got a hit. Because me and him are from two different worlds. And we had chemistry automatically,” Morgan said.
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will premiere on February 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC with a two-episode debut. New episodes will then air Mondays at 8:30 p.m. starting March 2.
Megan Thee Stallion’s appearance marks another step in her growing acting career. She has previously appeared in Dicks: The Musical, Mean Girls, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Big Mouth.
